  • MSc thesis in our group: If you are interested in visiting our group to carry out your MSc thesis, do not hesitate to contact me. We offer several interesting thesis topics in the wide range of AI/ML for beyond-5G wireless communication, radio resource management issues for beyond-5G wireless communication and LPWAN technologies, Network security for IoT, Trustworthy Edge computing, joint sensing and communication, TSN over 5G-and beyond, and intelligent spectrum management.
  • Potential PhD students: To have the best chance of receiving a response, please send a focused email. Let me know your name, universities, GPAs at those universities in the original scale (in other words out of 10 or out of 20 is fine), and any publications. Please include a detailed CV. Please let me know specific areas of interest to you, and the kind of research that you might want to do in terms of theory, practice and implementation. It will also be useful if you share your broader plans after graduation (industry, academia, startup, or otherwise). Many of my students go to industry, but quite a few have gone on to successful careers in academia. Also, it is useful if you identify one of my papers that you like and explain why.

  • Visiting PhD students: We continually have a limited number of openings for visiting PhD students. Recommended duration is 1-3 months. We cannot offer financial support, but will provide office space, access to University facilities, and a stimulating research environment. Feel free to contact me with a concrete research and publication plan.

  • Students funded under the China Scholarship Council (http://www.csc.edu.cn): I offer a small number of positions for Chinese students funded by the CSC for visits up to 1 year.

  • Postdoctoral researchers: We have occasional openings for postdoctoral researchers, which will be announced on LinkedIN and MIUN vacancies page. However, you may consider applying for a Marie Curie fellowship (see http://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/ and click "When to apply").

  • Visiting faculty: If you are interested in visiting the Department of Electrical Engineering for a short-term research stay, we can offer limited financial support. Feel free to get in touch for further information.
