Öhman, P. Invited speaker at the Swedish National Audit Office's Development Days in Stockholm on 30 May 2024. The lecture was about the financial, annual, audit's development over time and was entitled auditing yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Öhman, P. Assignment as a member of the Swedish National Audit Office's Scientific Council for a fourth term. The new assignment extends from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2025. Other members are Karin Bäckstrand, Professor of Environmental Social Science Research at Stockholm University, Olof Bäckman, Professor of Criminology at Stockholm University, Maria Bratt Börjesson, Professor of Economics at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, John Hassler, Professor of Economics at Stockholm University, Vilhelm Persson, Professor of Law at Lund University, Frida Pemer, Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Stockholm School of Economics, Helena Wockelberg, Associate Professor of Political Science at Uppsala University and Olof Åslund, Professor of Economics at Uppsala University.
Öhman, P. Member of the Swedish National Audit Office's Examination Council. The Examination Council has been formed as part of the quality assurance of the annual audit's test activities. The Council consists of internal and external members, where the external members are experts in auditing and accounting within the central government. The assignment for the four members is for the period 1 July 2023 to 31 December 2025.
Öhman, P. Extended government assignment as deputy member of the Supervisory Board for Auditors. Within the framework of the Inspectorate of Public Accountants, the Supervisory Board for Auditors is tasked with deciding on disciplinary measures, issuing advance rulings and otherwise deciding on matters of principle concerning the exercise of public authority against individuals. The extended assignment covers the period 1 July 2023–30 June 2026.
Öhman, P. Extended assignment as a member of the Swedish Academy of Auditing (SRA). SRA works for knowledge supply and knowledge development in accounting, auditing and related areas. This means, among other things, supporting activities carried out at colleges, universities and various audit organisations. The assignment is for three years, from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2026.
Öhman, P. Expert in government inquiry into the management of EU funds (Fi 2021:10). The experts are appointed by the Government and the appointments are valid from 1 March 2022 until further notice, but no later than until the tasks in the inquiry have been completed. The inquiry will submit proposals for an organisational structure and division of responsibilities that will enable a more appropriate, efficient and legally secure management of EU funds. The assignment also includes submitting the necessary legislative proposals. The assignment must be reported no later than 1 December 2023.
Öhman, P. Extended assignment as a member of the Swedish National Audit Office's Scientific Council. The Scientific Council shall provide advice on factual issues and questions about methods and method development linked to issues that arise in research and elsewhere. The issues dealt with must be of relevance to the Swedish National Audit Office's activities. The assignment extends from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023.

Öhman, P. Invited speaker at the Swedish Inspectorate of Public Accountants' seminar in Stockholm on 5 May 2021. The seminar was about companies as tools of crime and the role of auditors in this fight against crime.

It is stipulated that the Swedish National Audit Office shall have a Scientific Council, which shall provide advice on factual issues and questions concerning methods and method development, is a forum for issues raised in research and elsewhere of relevance to the Swedish National Audit Office's activities. The mandate of the eight members of the Council runs from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2021.

This means initiating, stimulating and supporting various activities in accounting and auditing. The SRA shall not conduct its own activities except in exceptional cases, but operate through colleges, universities and various audit organisations. The assignment is for five years, from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2023.

The members' task is to provide views of a fundamental nature on the activities of the Swedish National Audit Office on the basis of audits carried out and to submit proposals on audit issues that they believe the Swedish National Audit Office should address. The Council is also a forum for discussion of current issues in research and in other contexts of relevance to the Swedish National Audit Office's activities. The assignment extends from 1 January 2018 and for two years.
