Crisis exercise
Members of the crisis management group of Mid Sweden University have participated in an exercise scenario in which Campus Östersund was under a bomb threat and a student had been injured at Campus Sundsvall.
During the exercise, the media, the police and worried close ones became involved and the group had to manage the situation in the best possible way. Normally the crisis management group is stationed in two different cities, which posed a particular challenge to the participants. In order to simulate these circumstances, participants were placed in two separate rooms and could only communicate by using a telephone conference call service. The RCR Simulation Lab simulated the meeting room on Campus in Östersund. With the help of the technological equipment of RCR Simulation Lab, the exercise could be closely documented and analyzed afterwards.
