We invite you to share your research at the Progress in Paper Physics Seminar 2025 in Sundsvall, Sweden, on May 20-22, 2025.
This seminar will address a broad range of topics, exploring both the physical properties of paper, paperboard, and other natural fiber materials, as well as the physics of processes involved in their manufacturing and use. We aim to promote impactful discussions across fundamental and applied research, spanning practical applications and theoretical advancements.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Experimental techniques
- Mechanical properties
- Transport phenomena
- Emerging products
- Barriers and coatings
- Manufacturing processes
- Recycling
- Printing
- Raw materials
If you are interested in presenting your research or a poster, please submit an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages) created using one of the two templates.

The deadline for abstract submission is March 2, 2025, and we welcome submissions beginning December 1, 2024.
Presentations will be organized into two formats:
- Oral Presentation: A 15-minute talk followed by 10 minutes for audience questions.
- Poster Presentation: A 5-minute introduction, followed by the opportunity to discuss your poster with attendees in the exhibit area.
When submitting your abstract, please indicate your preferred presentation format. The PPPS 2025 Technical Committee will review all submissions and make the final decision on the assigned format. Notification of acceptance and presentation type will be sent by email.
A book of abstracts (no full articles) will be made available online one year after the conference.
