SMART Industries

Industry and the industry-related service sector in process and manufacturing are dominant industries in the region and important for the county's employment and competitiveness. The companies face major challenges in terms of renewal that are linked to digitalisation and the supply of skills.

This study provides the region and its companies with support in the work of analyzing the county's conditions and needs in the renewal work in the area of SMART Industry, where digitalisation is one of the strongest driving forces affecting growth and the labor market, education and skills development.

The purpose of the project is to carry out a survey of the industry's needs and conditions for the industry's digitization, the survey will also form the basis for future initiatives regarding digitization promotion in the region.

The goal is to gain increased insight into the needs, opportunities and obstacles that exist in the area of SMART Industri among small and medium-sized companies in Västernorrland through mapping, different analysis methods and co-creation.
