Sustainable development processes

Mid Sweden University has a central role in generating and disseminating knowledge about sustainable development and environmentally friendly construction in the region since ecotechnology was established as a subject in the 1980s and eco-building education in Östersund started in the early 1990s.

Over the years, it has become increasingly obvious that greater applied knowledge is needed of how sustainable development processes should be designed, managed and managed in order for the sustainability criteria to be met at all levels. In the construction process this applies from program description to completed building and management.
