- Responsible: Researcher, you know your research area best and therefore know what kind of data you need to collect.

Support documents

Working with research data
Collect, create, process and store data
- Responsible: Researcher, you collect and process your collected data.
- Resource support: DAU (Data Access Unit): researchdata@miun.se, ask us where you can save your data, or if you want to share data with other researchers outside Mid Sweden University.
IT services, save securely and share securely
- Vault, here you can save sensitive information that can be shared internally and externally
- SharePoint and OneDrive, the recommended platforms for sharing non-sensitive information
- Directory on the server, called H:/, here you can save both sensitive and non-sensitive information that should only be shared internally at the university

Making accessible
Compiling, publishing, and sharing data sets
- Responsible: Researcher, once your project is completed, you should make your data accessible. You can do this in different ways, depending on whether your data contains sensitive data or for other reasons cannot be disclosed openly.
- Resource support: DAU (Data Access Unit): researchdata@miun.se, ask us how you can make your data accessible.
- It Services: Doris — SND’s system for describing and sharing data, here you can create a directory entry that will make your data searchable for other stakeholders.
DiVA — Register your research publications, remember to enter your publications in DiVA. - Supporting documents: Make available, archive and preserve research data, here you will find more information on how to make your data open access and when your data should not be made open access.

Preserve
Clear data
- Responsible: Researcher, once the project is completed, you as a researcher are responsible for clearing the collected data so that only relevant data needed to review your project remains.

Long term storage

Archiving and deletion of data
