Aim
The purpose of the thesis is that you through an independent project will get advanced knowledge of the research process and make a contribution in the field of computer engineering.
Course objectives
After passing the thesis, the student should be able to:
- manage their time in order to solve a larger problem
- formulate the task and its scope
- with a scientific method solve the task, or parts of it, and thereby contribute to the development of knowledge
- present the solution orally and in writing
- examine and evaluate technical reports
- actively follow and participate in the evaluation of a report and its presentation
- make judgments taking into account relevant scientific, social and ethical aspects, and demonstrate awareness of relevant ethical aspects of research and development in the field of computer engineering
- demonstrate understanding of the possibilities and limitations, its role in society and the responsibility for its use
- identify their need of further knowledge and take responsibility for developing their knowledge
Content
Application of computer engineering in a comprehensive task without a given solution.
Problem statement.
Problem solving.
Scientific method.
Documentation of the solution according to the applicable standard or template.
Oral presentation.
Oral and written opposition.
Entry requirements
Completed courses of at least 240 credits, Mathematics 30 credits, Computer Engineering MA 45 credits, and 15 credits in an object oriented programming language.
