Aim
The course aims to provide fundamental knowledge in coaching, leadership, and organization with a focus on sports. Moreover, its objective is to impart both theoretical and practical insights into the application of coaching with an aim of fostering personal and athletic development.
Course objectives
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of sports coaching theory and methodology.
- Possess proficient practical skills in coaching to promote and develop athletes appropriately for performance enhancement at both individual and group levels.
- Independently integrate and apply knowledge and skills in sports coaching with a focus on coaching, leadership, and organization in sports.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of complex phenomena and issues within sports coaching for performance, with a focus on coaching, leadership, and organization in sports.

Entry requirements
A Bachelor degree with at least 180 credits, including a degree project of at least 15 credits, in Sports Science, Sports Medicine or Physiotherapy.
OR A Bachelor degree consisting of at least 180 credits, including a degree project of at least 15 credits, and a minimum of 60 credits in one or more of the following subjects: clinical epidemiology, exercise physiology, testing methods in sports science, kinesiology, biomechanics, coaching and leadership, sports nutrition, sports medicine, training sciences.
AND English course 6, or equivalent.

The selection process is in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the local order of admission.
Teaching form
The course is delivered in English. The teaching methods vary and include individual and group exercises. Examples of teaching methods include lectures, literature studies, seminars, workshops, and practical exercises.
