Aim
The aim of this course is to give a broad insight to the policy process and the consequences of policy. Indeed this course centers on the policy process in relation to risk and crisis management at the local, national, and international level.
Course objectives
After completion of this course, students are expected to be able to:
• Give and account of the basic elements of the policy process
• Discuss and access components and functions of the policy process
• Identify and critically discuss the policy process in relation to the Swedish risk and crisis contingencies structure.
Content
This course provides a general introduction to the policy process and its components. The policy process is crucial in the understanding of the drivers of policy change and the consequences of this change on the structure of operations. A special focus is placed on Swedish public administration, its structure and function in terms if crisis management.

Seven-grade scale, A, B, C, D, E, Fx and F. Fx and F represent fail levels.
