Background

Fredrik Andersson graduated from Mid Sweden University in 1998 and continued with PhD studies to a licentiate degree (1999-2002) at Mid Sweden University/Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) under the supervision of prof. Erik Hedenström. At the present he holds a research engineer position in the Eco Chemistry group.

Research

The research consist mainly of synthesis of semiochemicals (in co-operation with the Pheromone group, Lund University, and the Chemical Ecology group, SLU Alnarp) and development/synthesis of recyclable sequestrants for purification of water from hazardous and/or valuable metals (in co-operation with the Surface and Colloid Engineering group, Mid Sweden University)
