Background
I have written the doctoral dissertation "Outdoor recreation conflicts in Swedish coastal landscapes from a planning and user perspective" within the field of spatial planning. As a geographer, my research is particularly focused on conflicts of interest regarding different sorts of land and water use in relation to outdoor recreation and nature based tourism. Thus, I have a particular interest in analyzing and understanding the processes of planning and management. For example, in order to better introduce outdoor recreation and tourism in spatial planning, it is important to be able to identify conflicts and how these can be handled in planning and management. One way is for example by zoning. I particularly think that the experiences of quietness and noise in nature are interesting to analyze from a conflict perspective. Accessibility is also an important issue, where both people's ability to practice outdoor recreation and access to green areas are of relevance. Finally, I am also interested in pedagogy and didactics of geography. I originally have a master's degree in geography.
