University management
The Vice-Chancellor is responsible for the management of Mid Sweden University's activities closest to the Board.
Mid Sweden University's management consists of the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, University Strategist and University Director.
- The Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the Government on the basis of a proposal from the University Board and is the University's highest manager and main representative.
- The Pro Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the University Board and is the Vice-Chancellor's deputy.
- The University Strategist is appointed by the Vice-Chancellor and works primarily with strategic development issues both internally and externally.
- The University Director is appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, is the head of the University's administration and has overall responsibility for official issues, contacts with ministries and responsibility for the administrative support processes.
The university's management also includes three vice-presidents and a research strategist.
