Sexuality, Consent and Relationships – Experiences among Upper Secondary School Teachers
Since 2022, the curriculum has included the requirement to teach the subject area of SCR in all core subjects. But how is this actually done?
Teaching about sexuality, consent and relationships is important because it provides young people with the knowledge and tools to build safe, respectful and equal relationships. It also helps prevent violence, abuse and discrimination by strengthening understanding of bodily integrity and individual rights. Schools therefore play an important role through SCR education.
We are planning a study in the autumn term of 2024 in which we aim to explore teachers’ experiences, self-perceived competence and needs related to SCR teaching.
We are looking for students to take part in the project. The students who are accepted will have the opportunity to discuss and shape the project’s purpose, specific research questions and analyses together with the supervisors.
We would preferably like two students to work together (within, for example, Public Health Science it is possible to write the independent project in pairs – provided that a description of the division of work is submitted to the supervisor).
