Welcome to the programme page for you who are a student in the Energy Engineer programme. Here you will find information that can be helpful during the training.
OPENING WEEK. The training starts with a gathering week in Sundsvall week 36, 4 September - 5 September. The roll call and the first week's activities take place together with the students who study on the automation programme.
PREPARATORY COURSE IN MATHEMATICS To provide an opportunity to refresh your knowledge before the first mathematics course, we offer a preparatory course in mathematics (MA002H) which is given as a hybrid course (distance and campus Östersund) two weeks before the start of the semester, weeks 33 and 34. The course entitles you to student aid, but cannot be included in the degree. In that case, inform CSN that your studies begin on 15 August and that you will study 33 credits during the autumn semester.
NB! If you intend to take the course, remember to try to get the book (Mathematics startbook ISBN 9789144134024) in advance as the course is short!
It is edition 3 of the course book that is course literature according to the course syllabus, but previous editions also work to use.
The programme has joint studies with the programme Automation Engineer, which means that you study together with other programme students in many of the courses. The studies start with the two courses: Project-based Introduction to Engineering (ER037G) and Algebra for Engineers (MA117G).
The course literature that you need for these two courses is listed at the bottom of each course syllabus:
Syllabus for Project-Based Introduction to Engineering (ER037G)
Syllabus for Algebra for Engineers (MA117G)
Remember to order the course literature well in advance of the start of the course. You can buy course literature yourself in a bookstore, e.g. via the Internet.
Here you can see when you take the other courses in the programme.
